X-Rays

Wilhelm Roentgen discovered X-rays by accident. He was experimenting with some vacuum tubes when he made the discovery. X-Rays have very short wavelengths and high frequencies (energy). X-Rays allow doctors to see inside teeth, bones, and soft tissue inside the human body. An x-rays wavelength ranges from 0.01 to 10 nanometers.

How X-Rays are Used

Astronomy

We use X-Rays to study the stars. Although, we can use x-rays on the ground to see the stars, so we have to put them on sattelites.

Medicine

Doctors use X-rays to see teeth, bones, and soft tissue inside the human body.
